Below is a run-down on the wedding experience with SCP and how we have built a solid workflow to help deliver the best client experience. A client experience that will have you feeling on top of the world and ready to take on the BIG day.

It Starts With The Inquiry

First things first, it all starts with the inquiry. We have curated our inquiry form in order to help learn as much as we can about our couples prior to even meeting. This helps us give you a better idea of what you’re looking for in a wedding photographer. Not only that, but also what your wedding day vision is, and that will build the foundation of our relationship.

Scheduling The Consultation

After your inquiry form has been submitted, we determine if we are available for your wedding date. If we are, then this is where the real fun begins! We love being able to hop on consultation calls with our prospective couples to get a better feel for how well we mesh together. This step is incredibly important, and we typically recommend that you do not skip it. Again, it helps build the foundation of our relationship and ensures that we are a great fit for one another. Key details such as what type of photography coverage and shooting style you’re looking for and how well we vibe together personally all play a major role during the call.

These consultation calls are not just for learning about all the fun and beautiful details you have in mind for your wedding day. It’s also so that we can go over logistics. Any questions regarding pricing and packages are also discussed. This is to make sure that we are working within your current wedding budget. All of these things have the utmost importance in determining who you choose to be your wedding photographer. This is why we give special time and attention to all of our couples on these consultation calls. Once our consultation call is over, a rough timeline and proposal will then get sent out for you and your partner to review.

You’re Booked & Ready To Get Into It!

Once you have looked over your proposal, chatted details with your partner, and are ready to take the plunge, you’ll sign a contract and place your retainer payment! Then, that’s it! You’re *officially* booked with SCP as your wedding photographer. Go on and can check another big thing off of your planning to-do list. This is quite the day and it should absolutely be celebrated! So pop open that bottle of champagne (or drink of choice) and celebrate! From this point on you’re officially being taken care of in the photography department. Working with SCP means you have someone beside you every step of the way!

Now that you’ve officially booked us as your wedding photographer, it’s time to get chatting about your engagement session! Right off the bat, we will dig deeper into getting to know you as a couple, your preferences, and any big ideas you have for your engagement session. If you don’t know where to start, don’t worry! We are here to help and provide a complete engagement session guide and locations lookbook resource to help. From there, we will get your session scheduled and continue to provide advice on how you can prepare leading up.

All SCP wedding collections come with a complimentary engagement session, which helps elevate and enhance the entire wedding planning process. At your session, we will coach you through every step. This is a great opportunity to get to know each other and get comfortable in front of the camera. We’ll arrive on your wedding day already knowing how you two interact, what your best poses are, and how to photograph you in a genuine way! You will receive your online gallery no more than two weeks after the session!

The wedding planning process can be stressful, that’s for sure. You’re trying to juggle having a social life, celebrating with friends and family, working, and planning your wedding all at once. This can be a lot! However, this is why SCP puts all of our attention and expertise on every one of our couples throughout the entire journey. Not just on the day of your wedding.

From the moment that you are onboarded with the SCP team, you will receive resources, helpful guides, and questionnaires to help you in the wedding planning journey. These are vital steps in the wedding planning process. They have not only helped our couples feel more prepared but ensure that we are as prepared as possible for the big day. We’re there along the way to answer questions, help you with outfit advice and make sure that you are living your best life celebrating your engagement!

Building Your Wedding Timeline

Your wedding timeline will arguably be one of the most important aspects of the wedding planning process. Think of your wedding timeline as the glue that holds your wedding day together. It also allows everyone (the SCP team, your vendors, you, and your guests) to be all on the same page. Getting to know the details of what type of wedding photography coverage you’re looking for on your wedding day will be vital in helping plan out your perfect wedding day timeline.

Key components like knowing your ceremony time, travel details, if you are choosing to do a first look, etc. all play a role in making sure that we are able to capture and fit everything into one day. Don’t worry though, this isn’t something that you need to worry about creating, we are here to help you in determining what timeline will work best depending on how many hours of photography coverage you have.

How it Works

From our very first call, you will have a rough photography timeline in hand. This will help you begin to shape the day and figure out other aspects with confidence. A few months before your wedding date, you will receive my wedding day questionnaire. You will fill out all of the details – locations, timing, family portrait combinations, and more. From there, I will come up with your customized timeline to best fit the needs of your wedding day and vision. We will work together so that you won’t have to worry about anything on your special day. As your wedding day approaches, I am here to help with anything you may need.

Wedding Tips: Keep in mind that if you have hired a wedding planner/coordinator they will also create a wedding day timeline for you. In this case, SCP works with your wedding planner to ensure that everything lines up with your photography coverage.

The Wedding Day Is Here

The days leading up to your wedding day will be some of your most nerve-wracking and exciting moments. We encourage you to feel *all* the feelings because this is completely normal! You can be at ease knowing we are there to capture every moment. I want your day to be as stress-free as possible. Your only job is to enjoy your day and soak it all in! Throughout the day, we will be your right-hand (wo)man and make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. Loose hairs and threads being fixed, posing prompts and candid shots, and making sure you’re having the time of your life are just some of the roles that SCP takes hold of on your wedding day.

Remember, this is YOUR day. While we are here documenting the memories, don’t be afraid to let loose and be yourself. This is when your photos come out the rawest, most real, and most authentic!

Editing Your Wedding Gallery

So your wedding day is over and it was absolutely epic. First of all, woohoo! You’re living the high life and celebrating now being a spouse. It’s crazy to think about, right? While you’re riding cloud 9 after your wedding, the SCP team is busy working on your wedding gallery and making sure it’s absolutely perfect. The editing process typically takes between 4-6 weeks from your wedding date to receive your full wedding gallery. However, we are aware that waiting that long to get the goods can be painfully hard. That’s why we will always send over some sneak peeks a few days after the wedding to have you gushing over how amazing you two looked.

Trust me when we say, it is completely worth the wait.

Gallery Delivery

The moment has come to finally obsess over your wedding day once again. You look in your inbox and *ding* you finally see “your wedding gallery is here” as the subject line. Through our secure online gallery delivery site we deliver a perfectly curated selection of wedding photos. Ranging from details, getting ready, portraits, family formals, the ceremony, and the reception, your day is documented and cherished as it deserves.

At SCP, we take pride in all of our wedding galleries. We put our heart and soul into editing each photo to perfection so that you are absolutely in love with every photo. We hope you love them just as much as we do!
