Even though the weather is cooling down, that doesn’t mean that my heart isn’t still absolutely obsessing over this past summer’s weddings. In fact, the cool brisk air has me missing the warm beating sun and vibrant summer colors. While we’re getting through this cold hump we call winter, let’s reminisce back to this beautiful and vibrant summer wedding in Philadelphia with Jen and Brandon.
The Philadelphia Cricket Club
The Philadelphia Cricket Club is a beautiful country club that brings to life its history and charm all the way back from 1854. It’s the ultimate event space to host your wedding since it offers a variety of different spaces in which you can get married. Whether you’re having a small and intimate wedding or a larger guest count, the PCC has a space for you. The Philadelphia Cricket Club offers a very hands-on experience and is dedicated to having your wedding day be the most special and amazing day in your life. The PCC’s unique history, quaint charm mixed with some modern touches made it the perfect wedding venue for Jen and Brandon’s special day. Learn some tips on how to choose your perfect wedding venue here.
Vibrant Summer Wedding in Philadelphia
Since this wedding was in mid-June, Jen and Brandon really wanted to tie in those beautiful and vibrant summer colors without being too in your face. You’ll notice that throughout their wedding details, florals and decor, those beautiful peach, pink and blush tones made their debut. Personally, I think it was the perfect blend of pops of color without being distracting. Which ultimately is KEY when it comes to choosing your color palette for your wedding day.
It was a beautiful early afternoon getting ready, as Jen got ready with her bridesmaids and Brandon with his groomsmen. It was filled with a ton of reminiscing moments, happy tears, and lots of champagne. Tbh though, we can’t complain. After an emotional rollercoaster of first looks with Jen and her bridesmaids, as well as her dad, we nestled into the limo and made our way to the church for their ceremony.
Church Ceremony
Since Brandon and Jen hadn’t done a first look, this was the moment that they would see each other for the first time. On their wedding day, of course. Jen stepped out of the limo with her dad as they made their way into St Matthew’s Church. This is where her guests and her future husband-to-be stood waiting for her to make her entrance. The ceremony, an absolute beautiful one, was a wonderful celebration of love for Jen and Brandon. The room sat there still for a moment as Jen and Brandon exchanged vows, looked into each others eyes and made the ultimate commitment. It was so beautiful and I was catching every minute of it. After a brief 45 minute ceremony, Jen and Brandon were pronounced *officially* married – woohoo!!
Portraits
After the ceremony, it was time for us to have our dedicated time for wedding portraits. This included wedding party, family formals and, of course, solo portraits of the newlyweds. We spent some time taking photos outside of the church before making our way to The Philadelphia Cricket Club where cocktails, the guests, and reception space were waiting for us.
Reception
The inside reception space of the Philadelphia Cricket Club was beautifully decorated with the same florals and color palette carried throughout the day. Pastel pink and peach hues flooded the table centerpieces, in the absolute best way possible. It felt very ethereal and is the reason why I took a ton of detail photos of this space.
One of the best parts about your reception is the fact that you can really make it however you want it to be. This is the time where you can let loose and have fun and trust me, we had no problem with that here. Jen and Brandon had their grand entrance and beautiful first dance moment in front of their guests. From there, toasts and speeches were exchanged in between courses during dinner. We were able to snag some beautiful parent first dance moments and a delicious cake cutting before heading out for the night that I think was the perfect ending to this vibrant summer wedding in Philadelphia at the Philadelphia Crick Club with J+B!
Kind Words From J+B
“I cannot say enough great things about working with Sarah! From our first consult I felt at ease and knew we had to book her. She is so personable and made the planning process super easy and stress free! She gave us so much helpful direction during our photo shoots and made us feel comfortable and confident. Sarah also provided us with an abundance of useful information to know for the day of the wedding so I felt very prepared. Sarah is incredibly talented and the photos are BEAUTIFUL!! I could not be happier that we chose her to capture our special day. She truly is the best in the business and I will forever recommend her to anyone who needs a photographer! I hope to work with her again in the future! THANK YOU SARAH!” – Jen & Brandon
