When you think of a farmhouse wedding, immediately the first word that comes to your mind may be rustic. However, this wedding was far from it. In fact, this farmhouse wedding was chic, elegant and timeless. A perfect representation of everything Alyssa and Billy wanted for their wedding day. Their farmhouse chic New Jersey wedding wrapped up every component and detail they were looking for in their special day. From the gorgeous landscaping and scenery, to all of the amazing florals and detailing that came together to make this dream moment a reality. It truly was breathtaking, eye-grabbing and definitely pulled on the heart strings.

Getting Ready Moments

Alyssa and Billy had their entire wedding day take place at Bear Brook Valley. A gorgeous New Jersey wedding venue that emulates that farmhouse-chic vibe that really checked every box. It was early that afternoon when the SCP team arrived and began documenting this joyous occasion. First, we took some detail photos of Alyssa’s gorgeous Jimmy Choo dress. This was as Alyssa and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup done. The morning of your wedding day is a beautiful time. Remember to soak in this moment as much as you can.

While SCP’s lead photographer, Sarah, was with Alyssa and her bridesmaids, SCP’s second photographer was with Billy and his groomsmen. This is a prime example why having a second photographer on your wedding day is so important. We can’t stress this enough!

A Bridesmaids First Look

Alyssa’s first look with her bridesmaids was just as emotional and amazing as you could imagine. From the gasps and jaw dropping reactions you could just tell how star struck everyone was at how beautiful Alyssa looked. This is the moment where you can feel your most beautiful and confident, so really soak it in with all you got.

Farmhouse Chic New Jersey Wedding Ceremony

Shortly after a very emotional first look moment, we took a few solo bridal portraits of the beautiful bride. It wasn’t long until we had to meet up with guests for the big moment… the ceremony. Alyssa and Billy’s ceremony was beautifully set up. Floral arrangements surrounding their ceremony arch all perfectly placed in front of the pond located at the venue. It was a beautiful day as well, with the sun shining. It couldn’t have been any better.

Since Alyssa and Billy didn’t do a first look, this was going to be the first moment Billy and Alyssa locked eyes on their wedding day. It definitely was an emotional rollercoaster, where you could just feel the anticipation building. This was it… the moment we all had been waiting for and it was absolutely beautiful. Within a blink of an eye, the ceremony was over. Vows were exchanged and the first kiss and Mr. and Mrs. Bock were made. They did it – woohoo!

Portraits

Naturally, after your ceremony you are riding on cloud 9. As you should! Based on the day’s festivities and timeline, now was the perfect time to whisk everyone away for some portraits. We gathered up the wedding party, Alyssa and Billy and wandered throughout the venue capturing the perfect light. These are some of our favorite moments on a wedding day, not going to lie.

Reception

We were able to get some beautiful golden hour portraits before joining back in with wedding guests for the end of cocktail hour. It wasn’t long until the reception space was open and that’s when the real party begun. A grand entrance with some celebratory shots were made by the newlyweds. Along with that followed some very touching (yet incredibly funny) speeches, first dances with parents and a delicious dinner catered by the venue. Some fun additions to Alyssa and Billy’s reception was an ice cream bar along with a cigar bar. A very fun, unique and personal touch to their wedding day if you ask us!

Alyssa and Billy’s wedding was just breathtaking. All of the details that we spoke about, seeing them come together is always one of our favorite parts that we’ll never quite get over. The SCP team is forever grateful to capture these memories for our couples and we’re wishing nothing but happiness and love for the future to come. Cheers to A+B!!
