After meeting them via consultation call, I was hooked even more. Their vision for their dreamy Ryland Inn Grand Ballroom wedding in NJ was exactly the itch that needed to be scratched. The sweet attention to detail and stunning color palette of corals, peaches, and creams fit splendidly. Despite being a Philadelphia-based wedding photographer, when it comes to weddings like this a commute means nothing to capture an event this beautiful.

The Grand Ballroom at Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station, NJ

The Ryland Inn is a 220-year-old equestrian estate sitting in Whitehouse Station, NJ. What used to be a former country home a stagecoach stop has been turned into a stunning New Jersey wedding venue. Across the property, you will find exposed wood beams, and elegant chandeliers along with modern features. With a mix of rustic and modern styles, this New Jersey wedding venue blends them together beautifully. The Ryland Inn offers two different event sites to celebrate your special day, The Coach House and The Grand Ballroom. Each holds its own unique and stunning features, but today we will be focusing on The Grand Ballroom space.

Throughout The Grand Ballroom space, you will find 30-foot windows that bring in a beaming amount of natural light. Sunlight radiates through these windows to their six dazzling chandeliers that sparkle all throughout the space. The center of The Grand Ballroom surrounds a breathtaking stone fireplace, the perfect backdrop for your sweetheart’s table. This space also comes complete with a private courtyard, including outdoor bars, lounging, and fire pits. All of these fantastic features wrapped up into one gorgeous space make for an amazing reception space for any wedding. Seriously, can’t get enough of it!

Emily + Matt’s Ryland Inn Grand Ballroom Wedding

Once the SPC team arrives on site, we typically begin taking photos of flatlays and the getting ready process! Emily was on-site at The Ryland Inn Kimblewick House getting ready with all of her bridesmaids while Matt was also on-site in the Pellum House with his groomsmen. Beauty On Location NJ and JC Hair Design concluded their finishing touches before it was time for Emily to get into her Allison Webb dress. Which fit her like a glove BTW. We made our way outside to a spacious lawn area outside The Ryland Inn to witness Emily + Matt’s intimate first look. Following their first look, we took several portraits of the soon-to-be newlyweds before it was time to actually get these two hitched! We headed to St. Elizabeth + Brigid Parish Church where Emily and Matt would share their vows and become Mr. and Mrs. in front of all of their friends and family. It wasn’t long until it was time to head back to the venue to start gearing up for cocktail hour and the reception.

Lucky for us, we were able to get to their reception space just in time for the sun to begin setting and beaming in this stunning golden light. It reflected the minimalistic and clean-cut table decor and just made the Grand Ballroom space look straight out of a movie. We made sure to quickly steal the newlyweds for some golden hour portraits before sending them back to dance the night away with their guests. It was a stunning day that we feel grateful to have documented and to be able to have it live permanently on our blog!
