Alex and Ned are two people that ever since we first spoke, I knew their vision for their wedding day would be special. Not only that, but it was going to be at one of my favorite and most well-known Pennsylvania wedding venues, The Philander Chase Knox Estate! This gorgeous historic wedding venue, the Philander Chase Knox Estate, sits inside one of PA’s most beautiful national parks, Valley Forge National Park. The national park is huge, consisting of 3,500 acres of green meadows and towering trees. Within Valley Forge National Park you will find the Philander Chase Knox Estate. Alex & Ned’s Wedding at The Philander Chase Knox Estate at Valley Forge

Alex and Ned wanted to keep their Pennsylvania wedding simple, clean, and classic. With an elegant and neutral color palette, they really wanted their venue to stand out and speak. Alex and Ned both finished their prep on-site at the Philander Chase Knox Estate. Thanks to their top-quality amenities, this gorgeous estate offers getting-ready suites! During this time SCP took some detail photos while the remainder of the wedding party put the final touches on hair, makeup, and outfit.

It was important for Alex especially to incorporate a first look not only with Ned, her partner, but with her dad as well. Therefore, after slipping into her dress Alex had the most intimate and touching moment with her dad in her suite as he witnessed his daughter flourish in front of his eyes. These moments always have me tearing up a bit. Shortly after, we made our way outside where Alex and Ned were to meet surrounded by trees for their first look. It’s no secret that this gorgeous estate, nestled in Valley Forge, has plenty of amazing photo locations for wedding portraits. After their first look, we were able to wander through the acres of property and soak up as much greenery as possible.

The Philander Chase Knox Estate Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Before we knew it, it was time to make our way to the grand lawn space where Alex and Ned’s outdoor wedding ceremony would take place. With a floral ceremonial arch waiting, Alex made her way down the aisle awaiting to exchange vows with her *now* husband. The wind was rustling through the trees and birds were chirping as Alex and Ned made their exchange to be husband and wife. Just as beautiful as their ceremony, of course, was their reception. In a tented outdoor space, greenery hung from above and gave very much those ethereal type feels. On top of the gorgeous decor and venue, one thing else was for sure. These guests knew how to party. With a dance floor that stayed open for hours, everyone came together for the final moments to celebrate Alex and Ned and it was absolutely perfect.
