As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, my job allows me to travel all throughout the East Coast. Capturing unique love stories every day never gets boring, especially when you have somewhere beautiful to do it. Amanda and Michael’s Nemours Estate Delaware engagement photos were a day with no clouds in the sky. The sun was shining and we were able to celebrate the two lovebirds in a gorgeous engagement session at Nemours Estate.

Nemours Estate in Wilmington, Delaware

The Nemours Estate is a stunning 77-room mansion sitting on 200 acres of scenic woodlands, meadows, and gardens. Actually, they have the largest formal French gardens in all of North America! Since the estate is so grand, the photo opportunities are seemingly endless. There is so much to explore at the Nemours Estate that choosing only a few locations is quite a task. However, not impossible. For Amanda and Michael’s Delaware engagement photos, we mainly explored the outdoor locations to get the best lighting. However, we were able to snag a few gorgeous shots inside the Nemours Estate as well!

Amanda & Michael’s Nemours Estate Delaware Engagement Photos

This beautiful Delaware Estate boasts history and elegance at every turn. From the Colonnade to the Sunken Gardens to English Gates, each holds their little piece of the story at Nemours Estate. Upon arriving at this gorgeous estate, we explored the grounds and were struck by how spectacular it truly is. Amanda and Michael have the most magnetic love, so getting them in front of the camera was the highlight of my day. Together these two were ready to celebrate this next step in their journey towards forever and that’s really what engagement sessions are all about.

Having just recently gotten engaged myself (yay, go me), I know firsthand how many emotions run through your body. You have so much planning to do and so many things to check off your to-do list. An engagement session though, allows you to slow down a bit and enjoy this time just the two of you. That’s exactly what Amanda and Michael did throughout our time together.

First, we started with some more casual attire before switching to their more formalwear to amp up that elegant feel. We were able to get inside the estate and capture a few moments with the regal decor and artwork too, which I think enhanced the entire feel of their session. While we’re in full busy wedding season at SCP, I am forever grateful for these moments with my couples. To be able to celebrate them, learn more about them, and count down the days until their big day.
