When it comes to wedding days, my favorite type of weddings are ones where couples truly make it their own. Not only does it make it a unique and special experience, but you want your wedding day to truly reflect who you and your partner are. You want to be able to look back at your wedding day and feel an overwhelming amount of love. Luckily though, SCP gets to work with so many amazing couples who want to truly make their wedding day a once-in-a-lifetime experience. In comes Rosemary and Alex… together these two had an actual fairytale wedding. Imagine Cinderella in her carriage and horse-type fairytale. The Pen Ryn Estate is a waterfront venue along the Delaware River in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Pen Ryn Estate comprises three event spaces: the Pen Ryn Mansion, Belle Voir Manor, and the River’s Edge Garden Pavilion. The property is located on 100 private acres and is surrounded by manicured lawns and gardens. It is one of our favorite venues especially for weddings and hopefully you’ll be able to see why. Bucks County Wedding at Pen Ryn Estate

It was a beautiful day to get Rosemary and Alex married and although there was an overcast this day, it made for the absolute prettiest of photos. We started off with Rosemary and her bridesmaids getting ready, enjoying some champagne, and really soaking in all of the wedding day festivities.

Remember to eat something the morning of your wedding, especially if you’re planning on drinking! We want everyone to be feeling their 100% best!

While I was with Rosemary, our second photographer was with Alex in his suite getting ready. This is the perfect opportunity to mention that having a second photographer on your wedding day really comes in handy. No moment goes uncaptured and you both get to look back on these getting ready moments years later.

Father/Daughter & Bride/Groom First Look

I think that we can collectively agree that Rosemary looked absolutely stunning in her dress. Jaw-droppingly so, and while we wish we could just rave about how amazing she looked the show must go on! Rosemary did a first look with not only Alex but with her dad as well. Now, I could go on and on about how much we love first looks. Honestly, they are the bee’s knees. However, we’ve raved more about this over on this blog to save you some time here. We highly recommend you go check that out when you are done here! Let’s just say… first looks rule.

Outdoor Ceremony

Escorted by her dad locked in her arm, Rosemary walked down the aisle as everyone stared at how stunning she looked. Alex, as you could imagine, was still starstruck even though he had already seen his beautiful bride-to-be. Just even more proof that having a first look does not ruin the moment… just sayin’! It was a beautiful ceremony where at one point Rosemary and Alex lit a unity candle. Essentially binding their eternal love and upholding their commitment to one another. No matter what the tradition or special ritual you are wanting to do at your wedding, we say go for it! We love it when our couples are able to make their wedding day completely theirs!

Portraits

Wedding portraits are also some of our favorites… obviously. We get to take beautiful photos of our beautiful couples, like sign us up! We especially were anticipating Rosemary and Alex’s wedding portraits because we knew of one thing they wanted to have on their wedding day. What is that you may ask? Would you guess a white horse-drawn carriage? Thanks to Bee Tree Trail, Rosemary and Alex were able to make their own happily ever after. These two were giving Cinderella a run for her money because both of them really had their fairytale ending. Since Pen Ryn Estate is located on such a vast property, being able to be escorted throughout the property was amazing. We spent our time taking solo portraits of the couple and also making sure to bring out their wedding party for some group shots!

Reception

Some of the most heart-warming moments happened at the reception. A sweet first dance between the newlyweds left more than half of their guests (us included) tearing up. We can’t help it, they were just the sweetest things! After experiencing some very heartfelt speeches and of course deep diving into that delicious cake they had, it was about time for us to wrap it up and head on home. Typically, trying to contain our excitement from the day is little to none, so going home to start going through your images is almost always a guarantee. What can we say… we are die-hard fans of our couples!
