Sarah and Caleb’s lakefront winter wedding was so magical, all I’ve wanted to do is share these photos! We had an amazing time at the Lake Valhalla Club! Sarah and Caleb were high school sweethearts – how sweet! The two actually met at Caleb’s prom, and have been living the real life fairytale ever since! Sarah and Caleb are currently living in North Dakota, but Sarah will always be a Jersey girl at heart. Getting to photograph their wedding was truly such a joy – the day was all about enjoying their magical life with friends, family, food, and fun! I think the Lake Valhalla Club was truly the perfect spot for Sarah and Caleb’s wedding. These two were so adventurous and didn’t mind a bit of cold to capture all the beautiful moments of their wedding day!
Sarah and Caleb have actually been together for about 9 years now, and were just so, so excited to finally be married! There were so many sweet and emotional moments during their wedding day. From getting ready, to the tearful first look and their ridiculously sweet walk down the aisle. These two were honestly destined to be together forever. It’s such a treat to be able to photograph such amazing couples, especially at venues as amazing as this one. Join me as we take a look at Sarah and Caleb’s wedding day!
The First Look
All of Sarah and Caleb’s details were adorable and looked so beautiful on their clear winter wedding day! As sweet as all their details were – I mean, seriously, this color scheme was SO original and I loved the pop of brightness. Nothing could top Sarah and Caleb’s amazing first look. I loved all the versatility that this lakefront property provided. We had some beautiful lake-side fields along with some beautiful architecture that was so perfect for this bright but secluded moment. I can’t lie, once Caleb saw Sarah in her dress for the first time, my heart was just SO full. It’s such a blessing to photograph moments as authentic and warm as this one. Sarah and Caleb embraced with a beautiful and emotional kiss. Having a first look might not be for everyone, but these two shared such a serene moment before finally being wed, and I think it suited them perfectly!
I also just have to take a moment and point out how stunning Sarah looked on her wedding day! Her dress, designed by Hayley Paige from Bijou Bridal, had such a classic feeling but a very whimsical design and cut. I think it the PERFECT choice for Sarah. She was glowing all day long!
The Bridal Party
This bridal party was a PARTY alright! The amazing bouquets done by the Bloomingdale Florist really brought this color scheme together. They had a beautiful combination of calm neutrals, like grey and cream. Then, you got hit with that stunning pop of teal! Seriously, I cannot overstate how much I adored this color scheme. I think it fit in so well with the lakeside landscape at the The Lake Valhalla Club, and in the New Jersey Winter. It was the perfect touch of vibrancy that a party needs!
Caleb and Sarah’s bridal parties were such a blast to work with. The bridesmaids were a giggling group of girls who truly had so, so much love for their friend Sarah. I love working with groups who are so eager and excited to capture the perfect photo! Their vibrant dresses were from the amazing Azazie. Caleb and his groomsmen were all quite dashing in their suits as well. These men were ready to have the party of the year, while celebrating the love and relationship of their best friend! It was really lovely to work with a fun bridal party that knew each other so well. Since Sarah and Caleb have been together for about 9 years now, there was no shyness or hesitation, just a great playful attitude and a willingness to try everything!
The Ceremony
Finally it was time for the ceremony! As much fun as we had taking portraits and getting ready all morning, I was so excited to see all the little details and big moments at this lakefront winter wedding! Sarah and Caleb truly picked the perfect venue at the Lake Valhalla Club . They had the sweetest ceremony, featuring the absolute cutest decorations and string lights! I loved how intimate their ceremony was – friends and family all got a fantastic view of these two as they exchanged vows and ‘I do’s.’ Personally I think the best part was the HUGE smiles these two exchanged after they were declared husband and wife. This was such a fantastic moment and definitely my favorite from the whole day!
The Reception
Caleb and Sarah’s magical winter reception featured adorable details and a beautiful cake from Palermo’s Bakery! I loved the subtle, nature-inspired details, and the classic color scheme throughout all the dinner tables. Every person in the room was beaming with love and pride as Sarah and Caleb entered the room as newly-weds! Their venue featured a beautiful dining room that had been perfectly adorned with lights, flowers, and sweet signs. Elite Entertainment provided a fantastic tracklist, and Sarah and Caleb got to dance the night away alongside their friends and family! This lakeside winter wedding reminded me how lucky I am to work with people who truly love throwing a party and celebrating love!
