Long Branch Beach Engagement | New Jersey | Christine + Nick

Jul 30, 2020

Back in 2020, Christine and Nick officially became fiancés. They hit the ground running with their planning despite the obstacles. They chose to be excited and forge forward! We waited until July to do their engagement photos and what better place than the beach? After being cooped up inside for several weeks, it was safe to do a socially distant outdoor session. Not only was it good to get outside but it was just so good to get out and see such a beautiful place! We found the perfect spot for this Long Branch Beach Engagement. It was great to see people enjoying the beach and dining outside. Although the beach had some people in that area for sunset, we were able to make it look darn near empty!

How he asked

“Nick had the ring since January and had plans to propose on April 24th. He was going to propose while on a walk in Morristown and he made reservations at our favorite restaurant and was going to surprise me with our families there. That plan obviously couldn’t work because of Covid! Nick coordinated with my family to surprise me on that night in a different way. It was a Friday, so we were both working all day and I thought that my sister was coming over to make pizza with us. We both finished work, and I went upstairs to get ready. I saw that I had a missed call from my mom. I called her back and she was telling me that my sister was running late and she was stalling me on the phone. In the meantime, Nick was downstairs setting up our night. Forty minutes later, I started to go walk down the stairs and I saw rose petals at the bottom of the stairs. I froze! I eventually made my way down the stairs and there were rose petals and candles everywhere and our table was set up for dinner. Nick planned a five-course meal by ordering our favorite foods from different nearby restaurants. Nick was planning on proposing at the end of the dinner. I was too in shock to even speak (lol) so he proposed shortly after I came downstairs.”

About the couple

“Friday nights we always go out to eat – usually for pizza! We like to be with family and/or friends on Saturdays. Usually, we are traveling to Hoboken or New York City because that is where a lot of our friends are. Sundays are typically lazier days and we get ready for the week together!

Some of our favorite activities to do together include walking and being active, travel, spending time with family and friends, and random day trips like going to a beach. We also love to go out to eat and visit wineries or cideries and festivals (usually everything revolves around food!!)”
