From the colors to the smiles, I absolutely can’t get over this vibrant Summer Engagement Session at Longwood Gardens with Rachel and Shane! These two were the sweetest of sweethearts. Down for anything, ready to explore everything Longwood Gardens had to offer – two checks! Rachel’s dress added that perfect wave of color to the warm summer evening, and I loved how well Shane matched. These two were absolutely styling! Longwood Gardens makes for the perfect engagement session – I love the combination of well-kept pathways and wild flowers. It gives us a really nice color scheme, somewhere between the clean, white architecture and green, wild foliage. Not to mention how good that engagement ring looks on those roses! We found a few brick buildings towards the end of the shoot as well, which gave the perfect contrast between something old and something new!
Rachel and Shane were all smiles for the entire session. They both totally belonged out in the outdoors together! Neither of them had any problem tramping from building to building, patio to patio. And I totally adore the casual-chic floral top Rachel donned toward the end of our shoot! Those soft jade colors were the perfect match to the Longwood Gardens landscape. The two met while attending Penn State, and will be having a 1920’s jazz-inspired wedding in Cape May next June! Um, doesn’t that sounded like the best thing EVER? I am so excited to photograph for them that day! Shane actually proposed to Rachel on Christmas Day, surrounded by – and helped by – his entire family! He used a creatively made present wrapping game to reveal a ring inside one of Rachel’s gifts! How freaking cute is that?!
I’m so looking forward to shooting Rachel and Shane’s 1920’s wedding next June. Have a look through this Summer Engagement Session at Longwood Gardens!
