Megan and Michael held the most beautifully rustic and romantic summer wedding in Reading, Pa, this past weekend. It was such a joyous celebration and I can tell that this couple has such a wonderful and large group of family and friends surrounding them. Everyone was extremely happy to see them “finally” tie the knot. Megan and Michael’s relationship dates back to high school. There are a lot of friends and family that have cheered them on along their journey and were SO happy to share this day with them. Part of this group included their bridal party of 18 people! Wow, that’s a lot of people to wrangle, but it was SO much fun! They’re all one big happy family and it was the most fun I’ve had with a bridal party! I could tell just by spending one day with this family that they are very close knit and both sets of parents are great friends, which is so heart warming!
Megan started off her day getting ready surrounded by her closest girlfriends. She had the most beautiful details from paper goods, to shoes, to jewelry. The soft color palette of peach and dusty blue was the perfect match. Speaking of the color palette, Megan’s bouquet was stunning and pulled it all together! Michael also began the day with his guys. He got to open a sweet wedding day gift from the bride and get ready for the day. Michael was looking equally sharp in his slate colored suit with peach details. Michael and Megan waited to see each other until the walk down the aisle. It was an emotional moment and Megan looked stunning on her walk with her Father.
We had a beautiful time for portraits at the Daniel Boone Homestead. There are so many beautiful options and it was the perfect location for their day. After that, we headed to the DoubleTree in downtown Reading. I was completely wowed by this hotel! It is so modern and beautifully decorated. I never would have pictured it to be so close to my hometown, it looks like it’s pulled straight out of the big city! Megan, Michael, and I snuck away for some roof top, sunset portraits. Megan was nervous about being in the middle of Reading and there not being a portrait location at the venue. Enter the roof of the parking garage.. it was PERFECT! Be sure you don’t miss those images towards the end of the blog post. It overlooked the city of and you could see everything including The Pagoda! After that, Megan stated to me that she couldn’t wait to “dance her face off”. And that’s just what she did. The party was just getting started at the reception. This fun group of family and friends I’ve been talking about did not disappoint on the dance floor!
Enjoy this look inside their day!
