English Country Manor Wedding | Philadelphia, Pa | Courtney + Matt

June 11, 2019

Courtney and Matt had such a beautiful and refreshing English Country Manor Wedding this season! There was just something so unique and inviting about their classic color scheme with lively pops of pink, orange, and the occasional blue! Getting ready in the morning was so much fun. I absolutely adored all the details Courtney and Matt provided for me! Their invitations from Minted were just absolutely exquisite. On top of everything else, Courtney looked like a dream in her gown – Beautiful Brides Philly did such a fantastic job with hair and makeup. Courtney was nothing short of a princess! Matt cleaned up nicely as well and looked dashing as he got ready in the morning. I loved the timeless style of this English Country Manor Wedding, but also the sprinkles of bright, excited details!

Before the ceremony, Courtney and Matt shared a tender first look together. It was so sweet to see these two see each other for the first time on their wedding day. They shared such an intimate moment together; I’m so lucky to be able to photograph emotions as real and raw as this! I thought Matt’s reaction to seeing his bride was just too adorable. We took some time after the first look to wander around and capture some portraits before the ceremony. It was so nice to stroll around the Merion Tribute House and its beautiful land! Courtney and Matt were truly natural models and had no issue trying out any pose to get the perfect shot. I was so in love with their natural chemistry!

Next up, I got to spend some time hanging out with Courtney and Matt’s awesome bridal party! This was such a fantastic group of people that were truly SO pumped to see Courtney and Matt tie the knot. I loved working with every single person! I thought the short bridesmaid dresses from Azazie were an awesomely off-beat touch, and a magnificent pop of color. Matt’s groomsmen were dressed to the nines in their suits from Cole Haan! Once again, the little pop of blue in their ties was the perfect little detail. Those fabulous bouquets were the most amazing touch of vibrancy – I loved seeing such a beautiful and unique color palette! Soon enough – although I could have partied with this bridal party for EVER – it was time for Courtney and Matt’s lovely ceremony!

Courtney and Matt’s ceremony was eventful to say the least! Firstly, the Merion Tribute House truly came in to save the day. We had such a fantastic and beautiful outdoor ceremony space to work with. I adored all the amazing florals and the peaceful, natural backdrop. Courtney glided down the aisle to meet Matt – but we weren’t out there long before the rain started to fall! A little bummed but certainly not defeated, we all ran inside and finished the ceremony inside the Merion Tribute House. They were totally prepared for an emergency and we still had a blast finishing the ceremony inside! Courtney and Matt sealed the deal with a kiss, and finally the two were husband and wife!

You all know by now how much I LOVE photographing wedding details – and Courtney and Matt’s English Country Manor Wedding was absolutely no exception. From the bright, beautiful florals, delicate gold details, and classically warm hues, there was just so much to love! I thought their towering wedding cake from Bredenbeck’s was absolutely adorable! Courtney and Matt danced into the center of the room, and family and friends enjoyed watching them dance as husband and wife for the first time! Courtney and Matt’s English Country Manor Wedding was SUCH a blast!
