“Where should we meet to capture our photos”. This is one of the questions couples most often ask me while planning their engagement session. I always suggest capturing a soon-to-be newlyweds duo in a spot that holds meaning to them. Like the location of their first date, a park or garden, a vacation home down the Shore, or even at home. For Brittaney and Pete, the location for their cozy + fun engagement session at home was a given and a celebration because they had just custom-built their first home together! An engagement session at home!

B+P’s engagement photos are some of my favorites to date. These two could not have been more relaxed or fun-loving. I think that’s due in part to the relationship they share as well as how comfortable (and excited!) they felt about being together in their new home. We captured photos in a variety of spots throughout their house. From their kitchen complete with a coffee bar to their natural light-filled master suite. I fell in love with the neutral colors that fill their new space together. Just as much as the casual outfits they opted to wear and the fact that they wanted to have a pillow fight. 

Brittaney and Pete are down-to-earth, energetic, relatable, and just plain lovely. I loved the behind-the-scenes peek they offered me at the life they will build together. Not only right now but also after their wedding day in October at The Ryland Inn.
