Lancaster Wedding Photographer | The Farm at Eagle's Ridge Wedding

Just two hours away from the hustle and bustle of Philadelphia’s city streets, Lancaster’s The Farm at Eagles Ridge is a true gem within the countryside. While it does boast a barn, weddings at this gorgeous venue could never be categorized as “typical”. Instead, the family-centered team breathes elegance, beauty, and pure luxury into their property. In turn, this allows every wedding hosted there to truly shine. I have to admit I have a bias toward Sarah and Bill’s early fall celebration. Which was thoroughly done by Stylish Occasions!

So for S+B’s celebration, their ceremony and reception was at The Farm at Eagles Ridge, which I loved. In my experience as a photographer, being able to get ready, recite your vows, and celebrate with your guests in the same location keeps everyone’s stress level at bay. With this idea in mind, Sarah and her bridesmaids and Bill and his groomsmen each spent their mornings getting ready on site. Neither could have had a more joyful time with their respective groups.

Once they were both set, Sarah and Bill saw each other for the first time during their first look under a willow tree on the property. It was a beautiful, natural location that had incredible light. This highlighted their smiles even more. While we captured S+B’s first photos together, guests arrived for their outdoor ceremony. They were greeted by one of the best fall treats – apple cider – displayed on a vintage table overflowing with greenery and berry colored blooms designed by Splints and Daisies.

The Ceremony

Sarah and Bill recited their vows under an arch naturally created by tree trunks and branches at The Farm at Eagles Ridge. The pond in the background naturally enhanced their backdrop even more. They were thrilled to be announced as husband and wife! Just after their recessional, we snuck away to capture more couple’s portraits during golden hour. Guests began sipping on cocktails together and Sarah + Bill were able to join and mingle!

The Reception

The beautiful blooms, including protea, dahlias, celosia, and roses, overflowed on the couple’s gorgeous sweetheart table. Gold compote centerpieces also adorned some of the guests’ tables. The wildflower inspired look alternated with greenery-filled garlands on other tables. Wooden blocks were hand-lettered with each table’s number by Chit Chat Design. The linens pulled it all together in shades of burgundy and ivory. Little Lovely Nest menus were placed at each setting featuring the same florals as the centerpieces.

Guests dined inside the barn and some opted to take in the night air in the secluded lounge with furniture provided by Treasured Events in the same beautiful berry palette. Many kept the dance floor filled thanks to the sounds of ProVolve Entertainment. Guests eventually picked up delicious cupcakes from Lancaster Cupcake before the night came to a close.

Between the kindness of Sarah and Bill, the beautiful venue with its stunning location, and the gorgeous details, this wedding was such a joy to capture.
