It was an absolute honor to be a part of this wedding at the Franklin Institute and to get to know this amazing couple who have such attention to detail and a love for the city of Philadelphia. Originally coming from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Samantha and Joseph decided to marry in the middle, in the heart of Philadelphia. It’s the city they love and call home. Many touches of Philadelphia were sprinkled throughout this classically beautiful wedding.
Starting with location, their day took place at the home of the Benjamin Franklin Memorial, at Philadelphia’s own Franklin Institute. They exchanged vows underneath the stars in the Planetarium, cocktail hour took place in the giant heart exhibit, and they danced the night away with Ben Franklin in the Rotunda. Being able to go onto the roof of the Franklin Institute and overlook Broad Street and iconic parts of the city for portraits was a true honor.
It was a real treat for all of the guests coming from out of town. Samantha and Joseph were sure to give everyone the true Philadelphia experience! At cocktail hour, Philly soft pretzels doubled as place cards and a little signature snack to kick off the night! Each table was dawned by a Philadelphia street sign and lush florals. Of course, the street that Samantha and Joseph have bought their first home together had to be one of them! Having the Rotunda of the Franklin Institute as their ballroom was absolutely epic. The marble columns and high ceilings are such a site. The couple added personal touches once again with projections of different iconic symbols of Philadelphia . From beginning to end, this wedding epitomized their love for the city of Philadelphia.
