Seeing Andrea and Ben say their vows not even a week after their engagement session was such a special moment! I was so happy to be back working with this couple for their General Potter Farm Wedding! These two have the most adorable story, and when we met for their engagement photos it was so clear to me that these two were absolutely meant to be together.
Their wedding day was so, so special! The General Potter Farm in State College, PA gave us everything Andrea and Ben wanted for their special day. I totally adored all the details – the lace on Andrea’s dress from Pronovia’s was EVERYTHING, and I loved the simplicity and grace of their invitations.
Another favorite detail of mine was that beautiful shade of green shared by all of Andrea’s bridesmaids. It combined comfort and elegance so beautifully! Those dresses from Azazie were just too freaking beautiful. Getting ready inside of the barn at General Potter Farm was full of whimsy. Everyone adored the lights strung across the ceiling, as well as the antique wood and creamy white walls. Even with just the bridal party and groomsmen in the building, there was so much excitement in the air!
Ben and Andre decided to have a first look before they began the ceremony. This was such a touching moment – I loved the look on Ben’s face when he turned around to see his breathtaking bride! The grounds at General Potter Farm gave us the perfect, private setting for this intimate moment. I always love when a couple decides to have their own little first look before the wedding begins, and Andrea and Ben’s was too freaking cute!
The first look also gives us a bit of time to stroll the grounds and take some photos before the ceremony begins. I just loved the rustic mix of old architecture and the summer foliage! Not to mention, Andrea’s bright bouquet by Woodrings Floral Gardens also added that perfect pop of brightness in each photo. I loved seeing these two enjoy a bit of time to themselves before immersing themselves in the arrival of friends and family!
Every size bridal party has its advantages, but when the bridesmaids and groomsmen combine to form a total of 14 people, you KNOW it’s going to be a freaking fun time. And this General Potter Farm Wedding was absolutely no exception! I loved working with all of Andrea and Ben’s closest friends and family for these shots.
The grounds at the farm gave us enough space to make sure everyone got in the shot. And how can I ignore all those brilliant smiles in these pictures? Everyone was just so happy to see Andrea and Ben’s wedding day finally arrive! It was so nice to have a few moments to breathe and just hang out with each party on their own – everyone was willing to try anything to get that perfect shot, and I could not be more in love with the results!
Finally, after a afternoon of getting ready, and crossing our fingers to outrun the rain, it was time for the ceremony! The General Potter Farm had this beautiful and intimate room on the ground floor that created this absolutely adorable ceremony! I loved the warmth of the string lights, and even though things were a bit close quarters, everyone was just so happy to see Andrea and Ben standing side by side at the altar. Watching these two exchange vows and share their first kiss as a married couple was such a treat!!
Once the ceremony concluded, Andrea, Ben, and I had some more time to explore the grounds and take some portraits before the hustle and bustle of the reception. How cute are these two?! I’m still not over Andrea’s stunning gown. These two were glowing with affection for one another. I’m so happy the area had so much to see. Even though I’m sure these two could have stayed wrapped up in each others arms for, like, ever, eventually it was time for the reception!
And finally, it was time to cue the music and let the dancing begin! Andrea and Ben had the floor to themselves to start, and I just loved how they could not stop smiling. Additionally, the string lights made the moment so much more sweet and intimate – soon enough it was time to dance with family, and then a few moments later, everyone was out having a great time!
My absolute favorite photo from Andrea and Ben’s wedding at General Potters Farm is the last one on this blog – don’t forget to scroll down and have a look! Such a special moment captured at the end of a long, beautiful day.
