Duportail House Wedding | Philadelphia, Pa | Diana + Chris

Jun 13, 2018

This beautiful Duportail House Wedding with Diana and Chris was so special for so many reasons! I honestly had the greatest time photographing such a fantastic day at this beautiful Valley Forge venue. I can still remember their adorable engagement session so well! Not to mention, I just love seeing such a sweet couple go from an exciting engagement to their sweet wedding! Diana and Chris were certainly no exception. Joining us on their wedding day was also their adorable hound, Samson! He stuck by Diana’s side all morning as she got dressed – how cute!

Diana and Chris are just so genuine and loving. There was so much passion in their air during their entire day, from getting ready, to the first look, to their ceremony with personal vows that had everyone in tears! Diana is such a happy-go-lucky gal, and Chris seemed so excited to stand by her side as her husband. Not to mention – Diana and her bridal party arranged all of the bouquets – and more! – for her wedding! All the flowers came from Flower Moxie, and with some hard work they made some absolutely breathtaking bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and even the centerpieces for the reception! I was so in love with their DIY attitude and everything looked so professional!

Diana and Chris chose to have a private first look before the ceremony, and the grounds of the Duportail House made for a stunning backdrop. Just look at all that joy on Chris’ face! This was such a sweet moment, and I love when couples choose to have their own private moment before stepping out in front of friends and family. And how adorable was this little bridge we found among the sunlight and the lush trees?

I have to point out how beautiful Diana’s bouquet was as well. It’s so hard to believe these girls weren’t professionals! And it was nice to have that loving extra touch to such an already special day. I’m still not over all the little details included on the Duportail house grounds. I adored the color scheme and the amount of area we had to explore! Such a tender moment between the bride and groom!

Diana’s bridal party was so simple, but so sweet! I just loved the mismatched dresses, while still color coordinating for spring. I also adored the intimacy of only having a small amount of people in the party – I think both a big and small group have their advantages, but it was nice being able to meet everyone individually and see the strength of their bright smiles one on one! The groomsmen were just as excited to see Chris marry Diana! I’m still not over all the smiles I got out of them! There was such a fun atmosphere when shooting with the groomsmen.

Samson joined us again for a few more portraits! He was such a sweet pup. He wanted nothing more than to be by Diana + Chris’ side the whole time. And I can’t just ignore that adorable bow tie, can I?! He was so excited to roam around the grounds with us as well! Eventually we got both the bridesmaids and the groomsmen together – along with some miniature additions – and I just loved the results. So much happy in one picture!

Diana and Chris’ ceremony was absolutely one of a kind. I loved the beautiful blend of different styles – bold colors mixed with the rustic details of the Duportail House made for a totally unique event. Everything went together beautifully and every friend and family member was so happy to see Diana finally walk down the aisle to Chris. Their hand written vows

Along with the bright colors were some beautiful, blush spring tones. I think this wedding was so beautifully one of a kind, and fit the personalities of Diana and Chris perfectly! I can’t stress how in love I am with this day for this Duportail House Wedding. I’m so thrilled for Diana and Chris!

All the details of the reception made for such a perfect day! First off – that cake? Pink?! And ombre?! Adding that to my list of favorite cakes ever! The talented people over at Bredenbeck’s Bakery did such a fantastic job. And once again, I just have to point out how gorgeous each centerpiece looked! Diana and her bridal party made the most sugary sweet bouquets, and the whole room came alive with the blossoming spirit of spring! With touches of gold and greenery, the rooms came alive!

I’ve said it before and I’ll happily say it again – the Duportail House had absolutely everything any engaged couple could be looking for. I loved this bright windowed room, especially with the string lights falling across the top of every window. Diana and Chris enjoyed a few more moments on their own before starting the fun-filled reception!

We went back outside for sunset before kicking it off on the dance floor! Samson rejoined us again and was excited to be able to run around after sitting so still at the ceremony! I think he knew Diana and Chris were happy, too, and he was so excited the entire time!

Diana had an adorable outfit change before their first dance so she could let loose on the dance floor! They had an awesome choreographed first dance and they totally killed it! The whole room was engaged and admiring how in love they were. I was so excited when finally having a look at these photos – everyone was living in the moment and Diana and Chris couldn’t keep their eyes off eachother! I can promise you, the happiness in this room was absolutely tangible.
