Philadelphia Winter Wedding | Sugarhouse Casino | Alex + Tom

December 7, 2017

You might recognize Alex, Tom, and their fur child, Marlon, from their engagement session in Philadelphia this past summer! I told you Marlon was going to have a pupxedo for the wedding and that he did! This Philadelphia winter wedding was filled with love and beautiful colors from start to finish. Alex and Tom went with a sort of Christmas color palette for their florals and I loved it! The bouquets even had pine cones, greenery, and a little touch of snow! Although it was December, we had the most beautiful and mild weather! As I said, this day was filled with beautiful details. I’m totally a shoe gal and Alex’s Jimmy Choo chunky heels are GORGEOUS! They were her something blue. I think they’re awesome because they aren’t your traditional neutral shoe that people wear on their wedding day, which means she can totally wear them again! I loved the simplicity of the black and white invitation suite done by The Pleasure of Your Company. Alex got ready in the home she grew up in surrounded by so many sweet friends. They had fun getting dolled up thanks to Meghan Jester Makeup and Ariel Katrina Hair, who did a phenomenal job!  Tom and his boys got ready at a nearby hotel and sported classic black and white tuxes!

This bridal party was to die for! The colors came together amazingly and it’s the perfect winter palette! I adored Alex’s fur paired with the maroon shawls the girls wore! Once again, I was wowed by the classiness of all black bridesmaid dresses paired with classic tuxedos for the guys, everything pulled together. Can we just talk about these flowers done by Tunie’s Floral Expressions again? The combination of red roses with the wintery details were just stunning!

Alex and Tom’s church ceremony was cozy and filled with love! Alex chose to save her big reveal for the aisle. Tom was smitten and couldn’t keep his eyes off of her as she made the walk with her Dad. Surrounded by family and friends, the two expressed their vows, changed rings, and shared their first kiss! Soon time to party!!

The moment you’ve all been waiting for…. MARLON in his pupxedo! How cute is he?! Alex and Tom were so excited to see him right after the ceremony and I know these pictures will be some of their favorites! After we got our cuddles done with Marlon we proceeded with portraits of this extremely NEWLYWED couple! Again, these colors are killing me! The weather was beautiful and I am so glad we were able to get these outdoor portraits! We also got the opportunity do do a few more portraits at the reception venue, Sugarhouse Casino. The balcony at Sugarhouse overlooks the Ben Franklin Bridge and the waterfront which made for a stunning view!

Sugarhouse Casino was the perfect reception venue for this Philadelphia winter wedding! The room looked stunning with centerpieces cascading with red roses and wintery details. All the reds and greens made it so festive! With touching speeches and first dances, AMAZING food, and a ton of dancing, it was definitely a night that everyone will remember!

If you remember from their engagement session, Alex and Tom live in Birmingham, Alabama, and Tom is from Baltimore, Maryland. Therefore, a lot of the guests at the wedding traveled into Philadelphia from out of town. At the end of the night, Geno’s was there so that everyone could taste a Philadelphia cheesesteak! How fun! Alex, Tom, and I ended with a few portraits on the roof at Sugarhouse. From up there not only can you see the view of the waterfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge but on the other side is also the Philadelphia skyline!
