What a lovely time Alex, Tom, and I had in Philly! I just adore summer engagement photography in Philadelphia. These two were absolute sweethearts. Alex and Tom both live in Alabama, but we chose Philly because it’s where Alex’s family is located. This couple met during college at the University of Alabama, and they ended the session – with their adorable fur baby Marlin – in Alabama football jerseys!

For this summer engagement session, we start out at Elfreth’s Alley in Old City Philadelphia! Next, we strolled along to the Race Street Pier, which featured such a stunning waterfront, along with the Ben Franklin Bridge. Most of all, I adore shoots that keep us moving around, especially in the city! While there’s often beautiful cobbled streets, cities also have warm brick walls, and illustrious blue waterfronts!

In addition, Alex and Tom will be married in Philadelphia this coming December. How exciting! Not to mention their venue, the Sugarhouse Casino, will also feature the Ben Franklin bridge in the background. Isn’t it so sweet? I love when engagement photo and wedding portraits have a sweet tie in, no matter how small the detail.

Furthermore, if you take a scroll through this collection you’ll see they brought their adorable pup Marlin! This little guy was made for the camera, and threw a fit whenever he wasn’t included in the pictures. I’d say drama queen, but let’s be real, I was more than happy to oblige to his needs!! Consequently, he will also be appearing during Alex and Tom’s wedding day, but dressed more fittingly in his pupxedo (puppy tuxedo.)
