Olde Homestead Golf Club Wedding | New Tripoli, Pa | Kristin + Eric

Oct 2, 2017

I was lucky enough to share such a special day with Kristin and Eric. This Olde Homestead Gold Club Wedding was completely breathtaking. Having shot an engagement session for Kristin and Eric as well, I already knew their natural chemistry made them a perfect couple. Despite a few very minor setbacks, this golf club wedding was absolutely magical, and I’m so fortunate to have captured such amazing moments at this beautiful event.

Kristin and her bridal party were so fun to get ready with. Everyone looked so comfortable on the other side of the camera, and every room we entered shone with excited, smiling faces. Shooting with the groomsmen was just as fun. They got ready for the special day in a farmhouse that Kristin and Eric built themselves. The farmhouse was a perfectly rustic and whimsical background for the wedding, and it matched their engagement session as well!

Kristen and Eric decided to do a first look before the ceremony. Eric’s face filled with elation when he saw Kristin in her wedding dress for the first time. The first look is always such a vibrant and emotional moment. When the shock of the day clears away and you can truly see the love in their eyes! Just another perk of being a photographer 😉

Though it didn’t put a damper on the magical event, it was pouring rain on and off throughout the day. Despite the fairly consistent drizzle, Kristin and Eric were prepared for their ceremony, rain or shine. The bridal party was colorful and excited, and so very ready to see their friends celebrate their love for one another.

Once the joyful ceremony had finished, the reception commenced inside a beautiful barn. The ceiling and walls adorned with bright string lights, Kristin and Eric celebrated their first dance as a married couple.

As it started to pour outside once more, a gorgeous sight was spotted outside. Kristin and Eric did not mind stepping out into the downpour so I could capture them beside a beautiful double rainbow. The overcast skies and wet ground didn’t mean a thing. Both rainbows filled the sky with vibrance, and Kristin and Eric couldn’t contain their excitement.

After a few more heartfelt dances inside, and some simple and sweet portraits outside as the sun sank below the horizon, the reception began. I swear, that barn barely contained all of the excited people inside! Dancing, an ice cream truck, decadent cupcakes and endless smiles adorned the inside of the barn. It was such a treat to see so many happy faces – I could truly feel the love and support from every corner of this wedding!

Take a look at the photos from this Old Homestead Golf Club wedding. We had a spectacular time and I am so happy for the new bride and groom! I hope you can see the same love in these photos that I did through the camera!
